Unit 1 – Yes, And…
Students learn the theatrical style of improv through a series of drama games, activities and performances. This culminates in the Improv Olympics, an assessment in which students must perform improvised scenes and reflect on how improv skills translate to the real world.
Unit 2 – Movement is Magic
During this unit, students learn the techniques and elements of physical theatre. After engaging with this style through a variety drama exercises, students complete a Service Learning assessment in which they create physical theatre pieces for younger audiences that address real-life issues these students are facing in their everyday lives.
